Yesterday (25), TAP inaugurated the new routes with departures from Oporto. Barcelona, Milan, London (London City Airport) and Ponta Delgada are the Company’s bets to expand connections through the Port to the rest of Europe. With this, passengers visiting Porto gain new options to benefit from the Portugal Stopover program in that city.

Recently the TAP Portugal Stopover has been extended allowing the passenger to benefit from a stop of up to 5 days, in or out of Lisbon or Porto, when they embark to destinations beyond Portugal, Europe or Africa. In addition, another recent novelty was the possibility of the customer also being able to perform the Stopover when traveling to Faro, Madeira and Ponta Delgada, in Portugal.

Portugal Stopover was pioneered by TAP in July 2016 to encourage its passengers to take advantage of the geo-strategic advantages of the TAP Hub in Lisbon and Porto and discover and visit the country.

To launch the program, TAP has partnered with a network of more than 150 partners, which grant Stopover customers exclusive hotel prices, offer a bottle of wine at restaurants and free experiences such as tuk tuk tours, museums, dolphin watching at Sado, tastings, among others.
