The government celebrated the implementation of the Concession Program of the International Airports of Porto Alegre (RS), Salvador (BA), Florianópolis (SC) and Fortaleza (CE). The concession contracts of the four airports were signed this Friday (07/28) by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). With the signing, the winners must deposit in the National Civil Aviation Fund (FNAC) the minimum contribution amount of 25% on the total value of the grant plus goodwill, totaling R $ 1.46 billion of initial collection.
Investments
The investments planned for the four airports are approximately R $ 6.613 billion reais exclusively private capital, since Infraero does not participate as a shareholder in this round of concession. Of note are the amount of contributions for the construction and expansion of passenger terminals, aircraft yards and take-off runways. There is also an increase in the number of embarkation bridges and parking spaces.
Auction
The International Airport of Salvador (BA) was auctioned by Vinci Airports (French airport operator), for R $ 1.59 billion.
The winner of the International Airport of Porto Alegre (RS) was Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services, Germany, which will pay the total of R $ 382 million until the end of the concession by the airport.
The International Airport of Fortaleza (CE) has also been sold by the German operator (Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services) that will pay for the airport 1,505 billion by the end of the concession.
The winner of Florianópolis International Airport (SC) was the Swiss operator Zurich International Airport AG, which will pay the total amount of R $ 241 million by the end of the concession.
Concession deadlines
Concession deadlines are differentiated by airport: 25 years for Porto Alegre (RS) and 30 years for Fortaleza (CE), Salvador (BA) and Florianópolis (SC). Contracts may only be renewed once for five years for the purpose of recomposing the economic-financial balance.
