Gol has announced that in its summer high season grid, it will have 7,000 extra flights between December and February 2018, increasing by one million the offer of additional seats. The company reinforced operations at 37 Brazilian airports, with a focus on the cities of the Northeast region.
In addition to the extra flights, on existing routes, Gol will have 32 unpublished sections. “Our operation is focused mainly on the leisure destinations that register an increase in demand from passengers, as is the case of the cities in the Northeast of the country that are the most sought after,” Gol’s planning vice president Celso Ferrer said.
The airports with additional operations are: São Paulo (Congonhas and Guarulhos), Rio de Janeiro (Santos Dumont and Galeão), Florianópolis (SC), Salvador (BA), Porto Seguro (BA), Fortaleza (CE) (Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia, Goiânia) (PA), Porto Alegre, RS, Porto Alegre, RS, Porto Alegre, RS, Porto Alegre, RS, (PA), Arabaju (SE), Marabá (State of Pará) and the state of São Paulo (State of São Paulo), São Luís (MA), Caldas Novas (GO), Ilhéus (BA), Uberlândia Macapá (AP).
In the international market, Gol has included more than 800 flights to Argentina, Chile and the Caribbean. Among the highlights are three routes created exclusively for this summer season connecting, without stopovers or connections, the cities of Salvador (BA) and Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Navegantes (SC), as well as Rio de Janeiro and Mendoza (Argentina). The company also confirmed that it will begin the new direct stretch between Recife and Cordoba at the same time and decided to increase the frequencies to Buenos Aires with three weekly flights, which will be maintained regularly after the high season.
