Brazilians will need a smaller number of documents to issue their passports, according to information released on Wednesday (29). Evidence of electoral discharge, military service and payment of the fee was dispensed, requiring only RG and CPF to prove naturalness. The measure begins to be valid by the end of December and will be implemented gradually as part of the federal government’s Efficient Brazil program.

“The objective is administrative simplification, modernization of management and improvement of the provision of public services for citizens and civil society as well as for the companies with which the government has relations. It is a model that also seeks to reduce costs, “said the deputy chief of articulation and monitoring of the Civil House, Natália Marcassa.

The documents that have had the presentation waived will be searched in the database of the government by the body responsible for issuing the passport.
