The Belém International Airport, known as Val-de-Cans Airport, received the operational certification of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) airport. Portaria no. 3,008 was published in the Federal Official Gazette last Friday (1). The airport operational certificate is a requirement of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC) 139 of ANAC.
The evaluations are guided by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which determines the operational criteria to be met by terminals throughout the world.
Improvements
With certification, the regulatory agency guides the operators of airports in the analysis of the risks involved in their activities, in addition to demonstrating the level of operational safety to be achieved.
The operation certificate also highlights that Val-de-Cans Airport is ready to carry out more demanding operations with aircraft intending to leave or arrive from Belém, in addition to signaling the possibility of increasing the number of operations in the capital of Pará.
