Avianca Brasil, a Brazilian member of the Star Alliance, has just announced a series of new features for the market. In line with the company’s international expansion plan, the company will open another daily and direct frequency to Miami and its third between Guarulhos Airport and Santiago, Chile. Regarding the domestic grid, besides the operation in Vitória, which will start in April, the company will start flights to and from Belém and include new frequencies in Maceió, Recife, Fortaleza and Salvador. As a result, passengers will gain more flexibility in scheduling and increased connectivity to international flights from the company and other Star Alliance members, making connections easier.
International Growth
The new frequency between Sao Paulo and Miami will have its sales open in April, will start operating in December and will be daytime, starting from Guarulhos International Airport in the city of São Paulo and Miami International Airport in the opposite direction. The company’s first route to this destination was launched in June 2017 and has been a great success among Brazilians.
The second flight to Miami will meet the great demand of customers who travel on business and, especially, those who are looking for good leisure and consumption options, since the city is known as one of Brazil’s favorite destinations. The aircraft will be an Airbus A330-200, configured with two classes of service: Business (Executive) with 32 seats reclining up to 180º, arranged in 1-2-1 format; and Economical, comfortably configured in 2-4-2 format.
The company has just announced its third daily flight between Sao Paulo and Santiago, Chile, which will begin on June 22 and can now be purchased through official company channels or via travel agents. The operations will be carried out with two types of aircraft: Airbus A330-200, configured in two classes of service, and Airbus A320, in a single class.
“This is a very important moment for us, as it represents another step in the realization of our international expansion plan. The two announcements follow a year full of achievements, since, in 2017, we began this expansion of mesh beyond with the first flights to Miami and New York, the United States, Santiago, Chile, and Bogota, Colombia. The demand for our products has been very positive, which has allowed us to evaluate and invest more and more in new frequencies and destinations, offering more schedules and connections, “says Frederico Pedreira, president of Avianca Brasil.
