Oceania Cruises, a leading cruise line in culinary and destination, has launched a new humanitarian aid initiative for the islands hit by hurricanes in the region, as well as to raise awareness and restore tourism, a vital economic lifeline to the islands.

To assist in these fundraising efforts for humanitarian aid and to help restore and maintain a vibrant tourism environment, Oceania Cruises will donate $ 1,500 per cabin for new Eastern Caribbean travel bookings ranging from December 2017 to April 2018.

In partnership with All Hands Volunteers within the Hope Starts Here program, Oceania Cruises and its sister brands have pledged to raise at least $ 2.5 million for relief efforts as the company committed to an additional $ 1, 25 million in donations from guests, staff members, suppliers and travel partners to ensure that efforts to help these islands, in their time of need, bring an even greater positive impact.

“This rebuilding and restoration process is very personal to us as we have strong ties to the region. We have friends, family and decades of business partnerships in these islands and it is critical that we help them rebuild and restore,” said Bob Binder, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
