In October, demand for domestic travel reached the eighth consecutive month in growth: up 7.9% over the same month last year. The consolidated offer has been growing for four consecutive months. In October, the availability of transportation within the country had an expansion of 2.6% in the annual comparison basis. The average occupancy rate was 83.4% in the month – growth of 4.06 percentage points over October / 16, a record for any October in domestic aviation.
7.8 million trips were carried out in the month, an increase of 8.06% (equivalent to approximately 580 thousand more passengers in October). In the first 10 months of the year, demand accumulated growth of 3.03%, for an expanding offer of 1.31%. The utilization factor stands at 81.29%, an improvement of 1.35 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year. Already 74.2 million passengers were transported in 2017, growth of 2.31% compared to the same period of 2016.

Demand for international flights between Brazilian airlines rose 6.22% in October compared to the same month last year. In the same perspective, the offer had a stronger expansion, of the order of 8.19%. The broadening of supply at a faster pace than demand led to a deterioration of 1.59 percentage points in the month, which remained, however, at a high level: 85.51%. 707 thousand international passengers were transported in the month, an increase of 8.39% in the total contingent.
From January to October, demand for international flights accumulated growth of 12.8% compared to the same period in 2016. Supply, in turn, increased by 10.61%. The utilization factor for the period is 85.2%, with improvement of 1.6 percentage points. In all, 6.9 million international trips were made during the year, 11.59% more than in 2016.
