If you are a fan of sharks and like the Shark Week program, you should definitely be celebrating the Shark Week. The anniversary of the TV series created by the Discovery Channel created a wave of interest in carrying out some activity with the animal, a fact that is not as easy as swimming with dolphins.
Therefore, meet four destinations where you can swim with sharks.
COMPASS CAY MARINA (BAHAMAS)
A place full of cute and friendly cat sharks. Of course this species is not as threatening as others, but still they are sharks that swim by your side and still let you feed them. A very pleasant trip even for those who seek to meet the biggest and most dangerous fish.
HAWAII (UNITED STATES)
The number of sharks in the Pacific Ocean is immense, and the Hawaiian islands know how to exploit this. The destination has places with more friendly species, where divers swim with the animals, but also goes to the adrenaline. On Oahu, it is possible to do the famous cage diving, in which a cage protects you from a direct encounter with a shark that surely would not be as friendly as those of Compass Cay.
FIJI
The Sharks Marine Reserve is where tourists can get closer to the animal in the destination. There, divers swim alongside sharks without the cage, but the company responsible for the attraction, Bega Adventure Divers, points out that the ‘visitors’ are monitored and not allowed to touch the animals.
ISLE OF GUADELOUPE (MEXICO)
The Baja coast attracts divers from all over the world for a cage dive with the giant white sharks of the Pacific. The main attraction is the Nautilus Live Aboards, which operates only from July to November with its cages that go almost 10 meters deep so visitors can have the maximum experience of how to swim alongside deadly animals.
