Paris and region recorded 16.4 million hotel visitors during the first half of this year. It is the largest number of the last ten years and represents a resumption of Parisian tourism after the attacks of 2015 and the protests of 2016.

The Paris Regional Tourism Committee said there was a 14.9% increase in the number of foreign visitors compared to the same period last year, largely due to the large number of Japanese, Chinese and US tourists.

For the Committee, those who gave up visiting Paris with the attacks are returning to travel to the destination with no worries.
