The June festivities for the city of São Paulo are scheduled to start a little earlier this year, with the 7th edition of Arraial da Cidade, which will take place on May 26 and 27. Hoping to receive about 35 thousand visitors to celebrate the northeastern culture.
The justification for anticipating the June festivities is for the sporting year, as the cup matches will start on June 14.
The Arraial da Cidade will take place at the Jockey Club of São Paulo, organized by the Multicase Agency, the event has support from the São Paulo Government, the Secretariat of Culture and Social Development, and part of the income reverted to the Solidarity League, a nonprofit social organization which serves more than 10,000 children, youth, adults and seniors in situations of high social vulnerability.
Jokes and 12 shows live
More than 250 volunteers will work in this Arraial to transform the Jockey Club of São Paulo into a little piece of the Northeast in the capital of São Paulo. The typical play stalls, such as fishing and the clown’s mouth, are supported by more than 100 brands that provide the gifts, among them: Bob Store, Tryia, Scarf me, Fillity, Hering, Aramis and Beauty on the web.
Forró, baião, xote and xaxado and other rhythms will pack the weekend. The party will have 12 live shows, among them: Falamansa, Sítio do Pica Pau Amarelo, Trio Virgulino, Bicho de Pé and Duo Badulaque, composed by musicians Daniel Ayres and Julia Pittier of the Singing Word.
Typical food
The large food area has classic dishes from this time of year, among them: churros, apple of the love, corn, canjica, ham, barbecue, green broth, broth of bean and cake. The structure also has a free kids area with professional instructors.
