The Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay presented last week the new campaign for the summer season 2018 to the Brazilian public. The intention is to increase the number of visitors from Brazil to the neighboring coast, announced the Minister of Tourism Lilian Kechichian in an exclusive event in Rio Grande do Sul.
The west coast of the country will gain emphasis on promotion, there are places almost unknown to Brazilians. Call of Corridor of Los Pajaros Pintados comprises part of the departments of Soriano, Rio Negro, Paysandú, Salto and Artígas. The region is one of the tourist treasures of the country, bordered by the Uruguay River, brings surprises that fill the eyes, such as sunrise and sunset.
There are very few Brazilians who know the surroundings, about 15 thousand visited this destination from the beginning of the year to the moment. The place has remarkable characteristics such as the enormous complex of swimming pools that store the thermal waters with properties that make good the body, the sport fishing and its history, embryonic part of what is Uruguay today.
Almost 500,000 Brazilians have been there only this year, the great majority visiting cities such as: Punta Del Este, Montevideo and Colonia Do Sacramento. “We want to present novelties to a population open to new experiences. That’s why we invite tour operators to showcase this new product. We show all the diversity that the Painted Pajaros Corridor offers today “, says Lilian Kechichian – Minister of Tourism of Uruguay.
The summer season runs from December 2017 until April 2018, it is estimated that 25% more Brazilians are in the country during this period. The tourist balance is very positive, so the moment is propitious to increase the amount of visitors in Uruguay presenting them with news and fabulous destinations like the Uruguayan west coast.
