On his second official visit to China, Michel Temer met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang at a meeting that culminated in the signing of 14 international acts between the two governments. Among them, an agreement to extend the validity of tourism and business visas between the two countries was signed: before just three years, visas will now count for five years.

The measure comes into effect as early as next month (October). However, although the validity was two years longer than the deadline, the maximum length of stay in the two countries was not changed, and it is still 90 days, with the possibility of extending it by another 90 days, for both visas.

In addition to the agreement on tourism, other acts involve a cinematographic co-production between Brazil and China, as well as a memorandum of understanding on e-commerce.

“The comments we had at these meetings were about the recovery that Brazil is having. China and the world believe in Brazil, “the Brazilian president told Agência Brasil, in addition to saying” impressed “with China’s interest in Brazil.
