Contrary to any pessimistic prediction, the Brazilian is willing to travel by plane in the coming months, including the many holidays that are still there. Research by the Ministry of Tourism (MTur) *, held in September, points out that 64.5% of Brazilians intending to travel in the next six months should opt for the plane. This is the highest percentage recorded since June 2014.
On November holidays, for example, Finados (2/11), Proclamation of the Republic (15/11) and Black Consciousness (20/11), Paulistas have a preference: Madrid. The capital of Spain was the most sought after destination among Voopter users leaving from São Paulo. Soon they appear Salvador, Brasilia, Florianópolis, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Buenos Aires (Argentina), Rio de Janeiro, Recife and Curitiba. “Prolonged holidays next month are anticipating some destinations where tourists are planning to go on holiday by the end of the year,” said Voters CEO Pettersom Paiva.
The above data can only be measured thanks to Voopter Data, a system that offers strategic information based on the searches of its users. The material provides insights into, for example, consumer practices of Brazilian travelers, detecting demands, predicting trends and better knowing the habits of this consumer. It is possible to discover, among other things, which are the most sought after destinations for New Year’s Eve, Carnival and average ticket prices.
Where to stay – According to the MTur, hotels and inns are still the most chosen by tourists: 49.5%. The house of relatives and friends appears in second place, being chosen by 35.9% of the interviewees.
