Starting November 18, the Christmas mood – and some little antics here and there – will take over the Universal Orlando Resort for year-end celebrations throughout the destination. This year, the park has several new features. Aside from the decor and events lasting more days – the Christmas period runs from November 18, 2017 to January 6, 2018 – visitors can still witness the magic of Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, see the huge balloons and all The fun that will invade the park with the new Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, discover the true meaning of Grinchmas, have fun at the sound of the band Mannheim Steamroller at Music Plaza Stage and more.

NEW! Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

For the first time at the Universal Orlando Resort, Christmas will arrive at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Visitors will be surrounded by Christmas decorations, garlands and lights as they walk the streets at Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. They will also be able to taste typical dishes of the time and have fun with the Christmas presentations of the choir Frog Choir and the musical group Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. At night, state-of-the-art projections and incredible light shows will illuminate Hogwarts Castle, bringing Christmas to life with incredible moments inspired by the Harry Potter saga.

NEW! Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s

Universal Orlando Resort has teamed up with Macy’s, a leader in balloon entertainment, to bring a new parade to Universal Studios Florida. Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will have more than 12 balloons and 15 floats with incredible detail that can not be seen anywhere else, all created exclusively for Universal Orlando. The parade will also feature the presence of Minions and other beloved characters from My Favorite Evil, Madagascar and Shrek, as well as Santa Claus himself.

Grinchmas

Visitors will be able to see the heart of the Grinch tripling in size with the staging of Dr. Seuss’s classic Christmas Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, as well as commemorating the true sense of the season with Whos in Who-ville and seeing the Grinchmas come alive throughout Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure park. Visitors can also ensure a lively breakfast with The Grinch and his friends, already on sale.

Mannheim Steamroller

The big name of the Christmas songs of the United States, the band Mannheim Steamroller will return to Universal Orlando to spread the joy with spectacles live in the park Universal Studios Florida. The presentations will take place on November 18, 19, 25 and 26 and on December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2017.

Year-end celebrations at Orlando Universal Resort hotels

Staying at the Complex is the best way to enjoy the New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Universal Orlando Resort. Visitors can celebrate the New Year in style on Orlando’s largest dance floor with live entertainment and a plethora of delicious dishes and famous drinks. Ticket sales will start shortly.
